Loud Girl Anthem: Day 20

I've been on this new thing
Something like withholding
Oh it makes the men so mad
This flag of freedom unfolding

Spinning stone-cold sober
Spitting words like seeds
Find the lock he wants
Swallowing the key

I breathe the funk of meanness
I like the way it reeks
I've been getting nasty
Fighting dirty for keeps

The man that wants you down
Will squash you quick with shame
But guns, they don't apologize
They shoot; it's in the name

Getting great at shameless
Thump it like a bass
A stomp n' holler song that
Makes the floorboards shake

Fill your belly, fat and fire
Recall a fight is fun
When you're the only one
Who's brandishing a gun

Prompt: "Your challenge is, with this poem in mind, to write a poem informed by musical phrasing or melody, that employs some form of soundplay (rhyme, meter, assonance, alliteration)."
